The Veranda

The Veranda is a 19-unit affordable senior housing development on a vacant 0.56-acre site located at 19160 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino. The property’s residents are seniors aged 62 or older. The Veranda is located directly across the street from Cupertino’s new Main Street Cupertino, which features retail stores and restaurants.

The apartments are studio units, approximately 350 square feet, located in a three-story building. All floors of the building are serviced by an elevator. Each studio apartment includes a complete kitchen and an ADA-accessible bathroom. The sustainable, green building features include Energy Star appliances, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and energy-efficient lighting. All of the apartments on the 2nd and 3rd levels have a private balcony, and all ground floor units have a patio. The building also includes a common laundry room, staff office, public restroom, and community lounge.

There is shared open space with drought-tolerant landscaping for all residents and their guests, which includes three separate patios on the east side of the building designed for different activities: gardening, reading, or dining. A citrus garden with fruit trees is also part of the landscape. On-site parking is available for residents, staff, and visitors.
